Leor Galil is a Chicago-based music journalist. He’s a senior staff journalist for the Chicago Reader. He’s also written for Pitchfork, The Washington Post, The Washington City Paper, The A.V. Club, and a variety of publications that have since shuttered. Leor has won several journalism awards, including a Peter Lisagor award, two Association of Alternative Newsmedia awards, and a Society for Features Journalism award.
He’s currently working on a book about John Carpenter’s Halloween score for Bloomsbury’s 33 1/3 series.
