Every year around St. Patrick’s Day the Chicago River turns green… with a little help from some dye of course.
Yesterday, Chicagoans packed the riverwalk, bridges and sidewalks adjacent to the river to seen it morph into the unnatural-looking green for the city’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The color of the river looked like something out of a “Captain Planet” episode and the wind and mist were out in full-force, but it didn’t stop the crowds from cheering on the day’s events.
